We have already got used to the dynamically growing popularity of TikTok. We are also not surprised by the rapid increase in consumption of all kinds of social media by children during a pandemic.
Parents had to loosen the rules while working from home. However, it may come as a surprise that in the USA, Great Britain and Spain, TikTok, practically has equalled with Youtube in terms of time spent.
In Spain, this May children aged 4-15 spent 71 min on Tik Tok, compared to 24 min in May 2019. In the US the time expanded from 38 minutes up to 95 minutes! Meanwhile, the average time spent on YouTube is 97 minutes.
